Plans · Build 23.9.0

A complete free plugin, and two things you can pay to automate

The Free plan is not a trial and not a feature-stripped preview. It is the complete plugin: index, clusters, Content Health, Optimizer and AI drafting with a manual or semi-autonomous Growth Plan, without an account or licence.

Contradiction preserved. The readme FAQ, written before 23.9.0, still lists Competitor Analysis, Business Profile, Knowledge Foundation, Business Outcome reporting, Management Reports and Content Portfolio as Growth features. The 23.9.0 changelog supersedes it: those five workspaces are governed by WordPress capability only. Confirm the current entitlement in the build you install.

Costs you should expect

Three separate bills, none of them from ContentGem's AI

Your AI provider

OpenAI or Anthropic charges your own account for the generation and review you trigger. Daily and weekly limits exist to keep this predictable.

Your search provider

Google Programmable Search or Brave Search API, only if you enable competitor discovery. Results cache for up to six hours to protect quota.

Your plan, if you upgrade

Growth or Unlimited through Freemius, for Autopilot, IndexNow and multi-site licensing.

Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console connections are optional and use your own properties. IndexNow sends only the hostname, generated key, key-location URL and the public URL that changed.

Questions

Plans, costs and data

What does the Free plan include?
The content index, clusters, Content Health, the Optimizer and AI drafting with a manual or semi-autonomous Growth Plan. No account or licence is required.
What do Growth and Unlimited add?
In build 23.9.0, Growth adds autonomous auto-publishing (Autopilot) and IndexNow, and Unlimited adds multi-site licensing. The five Professional Workspaces are included for every authorised user on every plan since 23.9.0.
Is Professional Mode a paid feature?
No. Professional Mode is available to every user who has permission to edit posts.
What are the AI costs?
Whatever your OpenAI or Anthropic account is charged for the usage you trigger. ContentGem never bills provider usage on any plan.
What data leaves my site?
Only what a configured feature needs, sent only to that service: AI prompts to your provider, search terms to your search provider, and site or licence metadata to Freemius. Each service and its data are listed in the plugin readme.
